At Zacuto, we invent, design and assemble production-grade filmmaking equipment in the USA. Our optical viewfinders, EVF’s, camera accessories and shoulder rigs are designed by Steve Weiss, Jens Bogehegn and our engineering staff.

Steve and Jens bring their 80 years of combined experience as award winning filmmakers to create products based on four central principles: balance, ergonomics, comfort for all day shooting, and products that are universal ‘to work with all cameras'.

Z-Finder Accessories

Zacuto Camera Baseplates

Zacuto offers two camera baseplates- the The VCT Pro and the ACT Baseplate.

The VCT Pro is our 5-star review camera baseplate. It is one of the lightest and smallest on the market making it the preferred choice. The VCT Pro uses a proprietary quick release plate for the camera side and uses the very robust VCT-14 for the tripod side. It has a 10” sliding range for camera balance and 25mm of vertical rod adjustment. The best feature is our very comfortable gel-polymer shoulder pad! Need to shoot vertical 9:16 video? We got you covered with our VCT Rotator. Rotate your camera in seconds to capture that social media reel!

The ACT is our Arca-Swiss compatible camera baseplate. It also works perfectly with all the Zacuto camera cages. The red sliding camera plate offers easy adjustability to get your rig balanced.

Zacuto Camera Cages

Our camera cages are super lightweight and built with aircraft aluminum. All our camera cages are Arca-Swiss compatible and include HDMI strain relief clamps, built in NATO rail for mounting accessories and if applicable, include a comfortable hand strap to use with the natural camera handgrip. We offer camera specific camera cages but we also offer a universal cage so you don't have to buy a new camera cage every time you change your camera, because we know you filmmakers change your cameras like you change your.... socks. :)

Zacuto, the world leader in electronic viewfinder technology has an EVF for every shooter. We have our Kameleon Pro SDI and HDMI EVF

The Kameleon Pro EVF, ‘powered by JTZ’, offers unique features like 4K HDMI input downscaled to 1080p and 3D LUTS. The Kameleon has an SDI and HDMI input making it the preferred EVF for all shooters!

Zacuto Handgrips

Zacuto's Trigger Camera Handgrips are the most easily adjustable handgrips. Single-handed 360 degree rotation with no slipping! With the push of a lever, you can flip it down, raise it up, and pack it away in seconds. Use as a rock-solid, low handgrip or set it higher in an Aaton style position. When you're done for the day, or just want to put your rig flat on a surface, flip up the grip so it sits neatly next to your camera.
